Voice of Peace, in cooperation with the World Relief Organization, organized a workshop entitled “Principles of Humanitarian Action.” The workshop was directed to workers in civil society organizations, associations, and Voice of Peace activists.

During the workshop, the importance of the principles of humanitarian work was discussed, and the focus was on a set of international laws that occupy a key place in humanitarian efforts. It was discussed how these principles vary in international law, as this is affected by the differences that arise from state to state, as well as by the influence of culture and local familiarity.

The speakers provided valuable insights and ideas about the evolving context of the issues in Sudan as it moves from an approach focused on humanitarian aid to peace and sustainable development. Therefore, this knowledge will provide young people and local community organizations with the necessary tools to deal with their diverse communities with ease and contribute to educating them about the importance of international laws.
