On January 27, 2024, as part of its tireless efforts to reflect the Voice of Peace and promote targeted youth initiatives, West Darfur State Radio hosted members of the Voice of Peace organization, represented by:
- Mr. Al-Nour Abobakr. MPs (Project Manager)
- Mr. Abdel Moneim Qadim (Deputy Director of Projects)
- Ms. Hajer Taj El-Din (Vice President of the Organization)
- Mrs. Firdous Yahya (Supplies Manager)
This fruitful meeting touched on the roots of the conflict in Sudan, its regional and international dimensions, and how to build sustainable peace in the region by involving and integrating different segments of society, including women, and youth, in addition to leaders of public opinion in the region.
The meeting focused primarily on looking to the future and ways to build a relationship between societies of a new kind with a strategic dimension that is in line with and interacts with the transformations and with the necessity imposed by the current time to maintain security and stability and achieve development in Sudan, taking into consideration ethnic diversity and cultural, social and economic differences in the region.
In a different context, the speakers agreed that Sudanese society is linked by strong relations that stem from its sacrifices and the tremendous efforts it made for the renaissance and independence of this country, which played a pivotal role in forming its bonds of cooperation and cohesion in times of distress and conflict, and that these commonalities among Sudanese society "It will be the basic building block for building the foundations for sustainable peace in Sudan in the future."
The program's guests called on all humanitarian organizations to play their role in helping areas affected by wars fairly and transparently, to work to convey the voice of vulnerable segments, and to provide service to everyone without any agenda or standards that are not in line with the mission of humanitarian work.
In conclusion, the organization confirmed that in the coming days, it will have an effective role in presenting its ideas and programs via local radio, Facebook, WhatsApp, and the X platform.
Finally, the Voice of Peace organization extended its sincere thanks and gratitude to the radio and the presenter of the program, Mr. Ibrahim Ismail Ibrahim, owner of the Spaces program, for hosting and reflecting the organization’s vision.
